SECOND VIP LOUNGE OPENED AT FRANKFURT AIRPORT
Airport operator Fraport has unveiled its second VIP lounge at Frankfurt Airport in Germany. The new facility covers approximately 14,000ft² and is located in the Transit B area of the airport.
VIP customers have access to one of eight private suites, each with its own décor, private bathroom and direct view of the apron. Shared areas include a cigar lounge; a gaming suite equipped with consoles, a pinball machine and table soccer; and a spacious main lounge and bar. High-speed wi-fi and a conference room are also available to assist business travelers.
Guests looking to dine during their stay can choose from a selection of international dishes and snacks, and can even request unusual foods such as caviar, camel’s milk chocolate or homemade lentil soup. There is also a fleet of luxury vehicles for transporting guests to and from the gates, including a Bentley Mulsanne.
Anke Giesen, executive director of operations, Fraport, said, “We have created a luxurious place of refuge away from the busy gates, an oasis of rest and relaxation for travelers with high expectations. It makes guests feel both right at home and thoroughly taken care of.
“It’s true that our VIP services only address a relatively small group of affluent clients with a great need for privacy. Thanks to the new lounge, we’re now excellently prepared to meet these expectations – and word is definitely going to get around fast.”
Bill Kaulitz, the lead singer of Tokio Hotel, said, “Frankfurt Airport is our first choice, mainly because of the VIP lounge. The team always makes everything totally relaxed and easy for us. Traveling couldn’t be any nicer than this.”
