HONG KONG AIRLINES TO OPEN NEW HK LOUNGE
Hong Kong Airlines says its new VIP lounge in the Midfield Concourse of Hong Kong International Airport - double the size of the current “Club Bauhinia” in Terminal 1 - will open in September.
A number of VIP rooms will have audio-visual technology so business travellers can conduct small meetings or conference calls while they are in transit and rest areas will have flat beds and shower facilities.
The airline also will allow economy class passengers who wish to use the services of the VIP lounge a pay-for-entry option.
Currently operating 30 Airbus aircraft, the airline expects to have more than 50 aircraft by 2018 – including three A350s due to be delivered next year.
The airline recently launched a triangular Australian service to the Gold Coast and Cairns and also announced services to Auckland scheduled to start November 10. It eventually plans flights to North America.
